Thalpe Beach

 

Sri Lanka is surrounded by beautiful beaches and the “Thalpe Beach” is another most popular destination among the locals and foreigners. This is one of the most attractive places to visit in the southern province of Sri Lanka. Also known as rock pool, this is a beautiful place located 40 meters from the Matara – Galle main road.

These pools are not naturally created. Sometimes ago, they were used to soak coconut husks to separate the coconut coir. If you are going to visit this place, the rocky surface has sharp ridges and sea urchins are sometimes not visible under the sand. Therefore, it is preferred to wear reef boots.  You can bathe in these rock pools. But you have to be careful if you go for a sea bath in the sea beyond that. Because, there were few accidents have happened in the past.

Hoppers

  Hopper is an authentic Sri Lankan cuisine prepared out of rice flour and coconut milk, turned out using a hopper pan. It looks somewhat like a pancake but certainly different and more exciting. Nibble into delicious, crispy egg hoppers and plain hoppers accompanied by dhal and chicken curry, so yummy it will just melt in the mouth.  Hoppers are the ultimate Sri Lankan staple. Yala National Park

  Yala National Park, Sri Lanka Yala National Park is one of the largest national park and most famous wild life park, located in the south eastern region in Sri Lanka, with an area of nearly 378 sq miles and covers over two provinces of Hambantota district in southern province and Monaragala district in Uva province.
